I could be brown.

I could be brown, I could be blue.

I could be violet sky, I could be hurtful, I could be purple,

I could be anything you like.

This is a harmonic challenge popular on TikTok, recently being used as a vehicle for releasing old traumatic stories. It repeats four times, rising in pitch and intensity and emotion each time. I want to use it to envision new stories.

I could be me, I could be you, I could be violent skies, I could be worthful, I could be mirthful, I could be anything I like.

What would I be, if I could be anything I like?

If I could be just exactly what you needed, what then would I be?

What could we become, you and I, if we dreamed together? What oceans could we sail under a wondering moon, what essential problems could we solve, you and I,

You and I?

At a picnic on the sea of imagination,

What would you bring for us to consume together?

What would travel with us in our rickety little boat made of dreams and wishes and patched together with what-ifs?

What would nourish us on our journey to the great beyond,

Beyond what was, and into what is, and reaching into what could be?

What books would you take to a desert island in the stars?

Stranded, alone with our own imagination,

Where would we go?
